These terms cover every purchase made on this shop. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
What you are buying
You are buying a digital book, delivered as a PDF file. It is not a physical object, and nothing is shipped. Each book is described on its own page, with its length and format stated before you pay.
What you may do with the file
The book is yours to read, keep and print for your own use. The copyright stays with Ember’s. Please do not resell it, publish it, share your download link, or distribute the file.
Payment
Payment is handled by Stripe, in Canadian dollars, and a receipt is issued at the time of purchase. Your card details never reach this shop. Taxes are calculated and collected by Stripe.
How your book is delivered
Right after payment, a download link is sent to the email address you gave. That link is personal to your order, opens your order page without a password, and stays valid for 72 hours. If it expires, you can make a fresh one from your transaction history at any time.
If something goes wrong
Files are delivered instantly and a download cannot be undone, so a purchase is final once the book is downloaded. But if the wrong file arrives, if a file is damaged, or if you simply cannot download what you paid for, write to us: it will be fixed, and refunded if it cannot be fixed.
What we ask of you
Use the shop honestly: do not attempt to break it, to reach other customers’ orders, or to bypass payment. We may close a download link that is clearly being misused.
The books themselves
Each book is written carefully and checked against the sources named inside it. It is meant to inform, not to replace your own judgement or professional advice, and prices or facts in a fast moving field can change after publication.
Which law applies
Ember’s is based in Quebec, Canada. These terms follow the laws of Quebec and of Canada, including consumer protection rules that apply to you regardless of anything written here.
